100% Whole Wheat English Muffins

These come together so quickly. Ten minutes of prep, 12 minutes in the oven.

Ingredients (makes eight muffins)

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour

  • 3 tsp baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp salt

    ~

  • 5 tbsp butter

  • 3/4 cup buttermilk

Instructions

  • preheat oven to 450°F

  • mix dry ingredients (flour, powder, salt) together

  • cut in butter with pastry cutter or two knives

  • add buttermilk and stir

  • either roll dough out and cut circles or free form with your hands

  • line pan with silicone baking mat or parchment and bake for 12 minutes
